Q. Do you supply or sell the actual keg of beer?

OK..This is the most popular question of all time!

SO..We cannot and do not sell beer kegs - You must purchase it from any pub or tavern.

HOWEVER..Not all pubs or taverns will sell you a keg.

THEREFORE..
The Dog and Parrot Tavern at Robina on the Gold Coast...
They are only too happy for you to call, order and pay for your keg over the phone. They work closely with us to ensure all orders are fulfilled.

THEN..We can pick up your keg for you (They are pretty heavy!) and deliver all the equipment and the keg all at the same time! Too easy!

Q. What kind of beer is available in a keg?

All the major Australian brands of beer. Tooheys New, Victoria Bitter and XXXX Gold are the most popular brands. Just remember, if you have seen it on tap at your local pub, then the chance is you can get it in a keg.

Q. What kind of beer is NOT available in a keg?

You can obviously not get beer that is not brewed in a keg. Common examples are Corona, Crown Lager or Carlton Cold. These beers are only available in bottles.

Q. How much to hire your equipment?

Please see the prices page for this information.

The price includes dispensing equipment, delivery, set up, pick up and enough ice to keep it all nice and cold.

Q. Is that cheap or expensive?

Draught beer in your house from $1.75 a pot is pretty damn good. A pot of heavy beer at the pub is around $2.60!

Q. How many beers are in a keg?

A keg is 50 litres. That means that there are 175 Pots / Middys or 117 Schooners. Thats LOTS of beer!

Q. Should I get a more than one keg?

We advise our customers to always plan for the worst. If you think that you will finish 3 kegs, get 2 and some stubbies as back up.
Just remember that if you don't finish the keg then it is just wasted! Of course you can keep the keg but without dispensing gear. you can't drink it!

Q. How many kegs will I need?

Top 4 factors when considering the number of kegs required:
1. The number of guests expected - this is a pretty obvious determinant, but are you expecting a very definite number or have you left the invites open ended.
2. The drinking habits of your guest. Are they big beer guzzlers or are a lot of them likely to be drinking wine or soft drinks?
3. Is it a BYOB (bring your own booze) party. You might be doing the decent thing of having a keg for those who forgot to bring their own. Will one keg really be enough?
4. The start and planned end time of the party. If you plan to go all night you will require a lot more beer than if you are just having a pre-pub bash or drinks party.
Examples:
A 21st with over 60 people - minimum 1-2 kegs
A 21st with 150 people - minimum 3-4 kegs.
A house warming where its BYO Drinks and 40 people - 1-2 kegs.
A 40th/50th birthday party with 80 people 2-3 kegs.

Q: What areas do you deliver to?

We currently only deliver to:
The Gold Coast from Kingscliff (NSW) in the south to Ormeau (QLD) in the north.
See Map

Q: When do Delivery and Collection take place?

Deliveries normally take place 2-3 hours before your Party. Collections take place the day after after your party. We can organize other times, so please call Brett for a chat on 0414 601 836.

Q. How much does it cost to deliver outside the Gold Coast Delivery Areas?

We ONLY deliver between Kingscliffe and Ormeau. West to Nerang. Some outer lying suburbs attract a $30 Delivery Fee. Petrol is not cheap these days!
The service is currently NOT available outside these boundary's. Sorry.

Q. Can I pick the equipment up from you?

MAYBE. Our equipment is very expensive and we will charge a deposit ($200) and take your drivers license details. I like to know where our gear is at all times. Call us for a chat on 0414 601 836.

Q. Will your equipment dispense Kilkenny/Heineken/Guinness?

Yes, We can modify our gear to dispense all imported beers. It does cost quite a bit extra so call for a quote.

Q. Right, I'm Keen - How can I pay?

Cash on delivery is best. Credit Card payments are available and can be made via PayPal.com.au. They have a secure server and you do not need to have an account. You will however be charged a 3% surcharge.
If you want to pay up front, a direct deposit into our bank account can be made. Just set it up with us!

Q. Is it ever too late to order?

Don't ring and say, "Can I get a keg in an hour!" We advise ordering at least 4 days in advance. This is to ensure you get the coldest beer possible. We have all our kegs in the cold room for 48 hours before a hire. Nevertheless, It is always worth a shot. If we are not out-the-door busy, or already in the pub, we will make every effort to get beer to you.

Q. I have ordered my equipment for next weekend. What do I need to do between now and then re delivery etc?

Stay by your phone, call us to make sure we have the correct contact details. Agree a specific delivery time. Closer to the party, you could make some party snacks available, blow up some balloons, and don't forget to invite some punters along. If worried about numbers, emphasise/underplay 'Keg Party' factor. Good Luck.

Q. Do you guys do wine?

No, although we can help you source wine for larger parties.

Q. Does delivery include setting up etc?

Yes, we leave your beer ready-to-pour.

Q. How long do kegs keep for once opened / tapped?

We will supply enough ice to keep the keg cold for about 12-18 hours. If you think you are a legend and can party for longer sessions, you will need to drain the water and top the ice up yourself!

Q. Have you ever thought of linking up with some suppliers in cities like Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Cairns etc. to run the same delivery service?

Yes we have, so if you are keen to start Wheelikegs in your city or town, just contact us. There are some similar services not associated with us on the links page.

Q. I liked your t-shirt design. I wanted to know how I could get one of your t-shirts? How much?

T-shirt sales online are available soon.

Q. I have noticed that the total price is not as cheap as stubbies or cans? What's with that?

Our prices are based on the costs incurred by us plus some left over for beers on Friday Arvo's. We do not apologise for our prices. They help us maintain our ability to stay in business. We cannot provide our service at lower prices. We provide commercial quality equipment and service, why would we want to undervalue it?
